Transform your drawings into mesmerising holograms!
Join us for a magical, family-friendly workshop where your creativity takes on a new dimension – literally! Imagine seeing your drawings come to life as they float in space as holograms.
Led by the talented artist Kristina Pulejkova, whose work blends science, nature, and technology, this hands-on workshop invites you to craft your own holographic pyramid from a simple plastic sheet and discover how to turn your art into holograms using mobile phones. With metallic pens on black paper, you’ll learn techniques to create stunning, floating images that appear like magic.
By the end of the session, you’ll take home your very own holographic pyramid, ready to continue making your artwork soar. Don’t miss this chance to explore the fascinating world of holograms and create your own otherworldly art under the guidance of an inspiring artist.
About Kristina Pulejkova
Kristina Pulejkova is a visual artist based in London, UK. Her interdisciplinary practice is informed by science and technology. Kristina’s work explores how the use of technology might lead to greater forms of sustainability in human-nature relationships.
Working across moving image, sound and installation, she aims to build subjective narratives based on scientific data and principles. In her work, she tends to imagine voices from creatures, objects and even atoms to inhabit non-human perspectives.
Through the use of immersive technology, her works often deal with environmental issues, telling personal stories that place audiences at the centre of the scene, allowing for a protagonist’s perspective and a different way of seeing.
This event is part of Creative Playground’s Saturday Sessions programme. Creative Playground Crawley aims to improve people’s lives by increasing Crawley residents’ engagement in arts and culture, led by Manor Royal Business Improvement District and a consortium of local organisations, it is funded by Arts Council England’s Creative People and Places Programme.
