Bowen Tan, Tiger’s Pen, 2024
While lost in Brighton, a young entrepreneur encounters a tiger offering him a career growth opportunity…

Chun Guo, Edit Ver. 1, 2024
Edit Ver. I, directed by Chun Guo, is a narrative animation that delves into the unique influence of contemporary Artificial Intelligence signals on the aesthetic realm of the human mental world. With the assistance of technology, human anatomy becomes fluid and editable, and people begin to pursue the desire to transcend their physical selves. Amid this growing mental pollution, the film critically collaborate with AI, focusing on the process of over-editing and the creation of new versions of the self. The film questions how individuals seek to enhance, disrupt, and reimagine their identities quality under the influence of AI, while reflecting on underlying risks and the importance of protecting personal rights in this evolving technological landscape.

Dave Packer, Walkies Day, 2022
To fulfil his deep-rooted desire for exploring nature, Norman the House Plant regularly borrows his owner’s human body in order to venture into the great outdoors.
But when Norman doesn’t return from his walkies as planned, his owner must find a way to locate the errant peace lily and attempt to recover his body.
A simple, silent tale told through physical comedy and visual effects, “Walkies Day” brims with twists and turns, horticultural antics and its fair share of gurning.

Kate Shields, A Stone Circle for the Future, 2024
A Stone Circle for the Future intertwines my research into ancient stone circles and nuclear semiotics- an interdisciplinary field dedicated to finding ways to communicate the dangers of buried nuclear waste to those living up to 10,000 years from now. The film imagines leaving a literal message for future generations, in the hope that they might learn from our errors and thrive long after we are gone.

Voi Smith, Highrise, 2024
The first time I heard the Darkwave Electro project called LEATHERS was on YouTube earlier this year.
I immediately bought the album Ultraviolet on Bandcamp & have been a fan since.
Then I noticed that my favourite track ‘Highrise’ didn’t have an official music video so being the obsessive creative that I am I thought it would be cool to make a music video with my own animations & individual style. I used a compilation of some motion experiments I made this summer plus some new animation clips I made for this project to build a visual narrative that would bring the Highrise theme to life.

Zihan Zhou, A World of Memory and Amnesia’s Echoes, 2024
A World of Memory and Amnesia’s Echoes (2024), directed by Zihan Zhou, depicts a fictitious future in a world increasingly digitalized, in 2050 where heritages are demolished and lose their values, preservation, replication, and reassembly redefine their significance. The film follows a character grappling with amnesia, viewed not as a loss but as a source of creativity. In this world, souvenirs are not mass-produced; instead, individuals can DIY their own, reshaping memories through imaginative expression. In the film, she rediscovered her city’s spatial and sensory memories, and posing the question: How do we preserve our individual and collective memory when it is unconsciously manipulated?
