Plant-based Eco-photography workshop led by Simon Sandys

In this workshop, we will be exploring the world of analogue photography – without the toxic chemistry. Unlocking the power of plants, we will make paper negatives using large format cameras, shooting portraits and still life on Brighton beach.

You will learn the science behind the magic of plant-based developing using sustainable and environmentally sound methods.

The sustainable darkroom is a method and ethos of developing photographic film or paper using plant-based, non-toxic and biodegradable materials.

It can be carried out at home using easily available ingredients and plants, which can be foraged yourself.

If you are curious about getting back into analogue photography – and how to move in a more sustainable direction – this workshop is for you.

The event is drop-in, so arrive early to avoid missing out!

Presented as part of Photo Fringe.
